We’re the UK market leader in travel ancillaries; once you have booked a flight and accommodation, we take care of the rest. That includes airport hotels, insurance, airport parking, lounges, foreign currency, car hire, resort transfers and attractions. Almost all of our business is conducted online, either direct through our own website and apps or through our network of partners that include the major travel retailers, airlines and tour operators.
We are looking for a Growth Hacker to join the team – an impatient individual who won’t sit back and wait for things to happen; they make it happen. A Growth Hacker will run initiatives that could touch almost every area of the organisation, from digital acquisition to website optimisation, customer experience and commercial agreements. A Growth Hacker is constantly on the lookout for any ‘hack’ that can drive growth, in any aspect of the product funnel. Working closely with the Head of Growth (and most teams in the business) they will be constantly testing, iterating, hustling, bustling, learning and finding numerous ways to drive more customers to Holiday Extras, whilst generating more value from existing customers.
Failure is expected in this role. If you are not failing regularly as a Growth Hacker then you are not being bold enough. The only true failure is not learning from every test. The Growth Hacker is the embodiment of HX core values ‘be pioneering’ and ‘be at the helm’, always finding pockets of opportunities.
The Growth Hacker is tasked with researching, developing and integrating cutting edge growth hacking techniques into the business, as well as encouraging a startup mentality around new channel testing.
Essential for the role:
– Naturally inquisitive, curious about data and business performance
– A magician with the ability to generate growth ideas out of thin air
– Extremely data literate; able to conceive data requirements and read data with ease
– A burning desire to always improve and drive performance
– A strong understanding of digital acquisition channels
– Previously implemented and managed your own campaigns
– A history of delivering success
– Drive both short-term and long-term results
– The ability to lead cross-functional teams of people to a common goal
– Extremely venturesome
