We are Holiday Extras Shortbreaks (part of the Holiday Extras Group, established for over 30 years); we work with the UK’s biggest theme parks, attractions and West-End shows helping over half a million customers a year to make their free time count. An innovative and entrepreneurial travel-tech business we are proud to run like a startup (even after 10 years of success) and are rated as a Sunday Times Top 100 Company to work for.
We are looking for the best to join our team. We pride ourselves on being able to offer exciting challenges in the world of web, whilst providing a fantastic environment in which to work. Our supportive environment and focus on personal development across the business, help our team members grow and become experts in their field!
We’re looking for an experienced people manager to join us as a Developer Coach on the Holiday Extras campus and become part of our expert team. You will be joining at an exciting period of exceptional projected growth; the workload is fast-paced, but the atmosphere is fun.
We want our Team Coach to bring their brilliant coaching and management skills to drive the performance of our incredible engineers by helping the team achieve their goals and perform at their best. You will be motivating and inspiring and can expertly balance people’s individual needs with the needs of Holiday Extras.
You will be part of our growing web team and work collaboratively within our Pod structure to support the delivery of great products, booking flows and apps for our customers.
You’ll have several years of experience managing people and have a strong level of technical understanding. You don’t necessarily have had to have been a programmer yourself, but you should have worked in an agile environment where performance and delivery are key. Depending on your background, will also depend on what other areas of the web team you get involved with. You can be guaranteed however, that no two days will be the same.
We want to talk to you if you answer yes to these three questions…
- Are you a strong leader?
- Do you have several years of managing people and developing high performance?
- Do you have a strong technical understanding of the web and systems?
In addition, you must have strong communication skills and a flexible, pragmatic approach; along with a passion for keeping up with ever changing technology to keep ahead of the game.
