Commercial Product Manager – Insurance

Up to £40,000 DOE + Profit Share + Benefits

We’re looking for an experienced Insurance Commercial Product Manager to join us on the Holiday Extras campus and become part of our expert team. The workload is fast-paced, but the atmosphere is fun.

We want our Commercial Product Manager to bring their brilliant commercial and technical skills to help build the Holiday Extras Travel Insurance portfolio and drive the continuing growth of the Insurance business. As an expert communicator and negotiator you will be able to expertly build and maintain strong partnerships with our commercial underwriting partners also ensuring the optimisation of our contractual arrangements with systems providers and brokers alike. Whilst continually focusing on underwriter performance, ensuring our products are profitable and sustainable from a commercial perspective.

You will be part of our growing Insurance business and work collaboratively within the wider team to support the delivery of great products and the insurance 5 year plan.   

As a tenacious self starter with experience in the insurance industry, you’ll work to innovate our current product portfolio enhancing the customer offering and audience whilst generating a greater return. As a strong technical specialist you will have a solid understanding of legal and FCA regulations and be able to bring these into your work. You’ll use your knowledge of the insurance market to deliver products that are tailored to our customers. As well as using your analytical skills to help identify areas of risk and opportunity ensuring the strength and success of our partnerships.

We want to talk to you if you answer yes to the three questions below …

  • Do you have experience of the Travel insurance businesses? Particularly within supplier relations.
  • Do you have experience of travel insurance broking, developing product ideas and delivering these into a live environment?
  • Do you have a proven track record of product innovation?

In addition, you must have an understanding of budget and finance KPI’s, a keen eye for detail, and a pragmatic approach; along with a passion for keeping up with ever changing Insurance landscape to stay one step ahead of the game.
