Business Development Manager – Travel Insurance

Up to £40,000 + bonus + benefits + car

We’re looking for an experienced Business Development Manager to join us on the Holiday Extras campus and become part of our award winning team. The workload is fast-paced, but the atmosphere is fun.

Our partners are a vital part of our business, here at Holiday Extras we work with over 12,000 partners from across the travel industry. Ensuring we continue to grow this part of the business is vital to our continued success. We make 350,000 travel insurance sales a year at Holiday Extras with our travel trade partners making up a large percentage of these. We believe there is still more opportunity in and outside of the travel trade to secure new exciting partnerships.

We want our Business Development Manager to use their long list of travel trade contacts to start conversations about insurance requirements and open the door to new opportunities. You will be part of our growing Insurance team and play a part in their mission to build awesome relationships with our partners, looking for every opportunity to grow bookings and profit.

You’ll have a proven track record of delivering new business within the Leisure and Business Travel industry using your commercial know how and keen eye for data to spot new opportunities for growth. You don’t necessarily need to have experience working within the travel insurance sector, but you should have several years experience as a Business Development Manager within the travel trade and experience driving sales.

You will be responsible for the delivery of the overall new business budget, with your performance being measured against the gross profit you generate.This is a market that we have only scratched the surface of, so the potential for a strong Business Development professional is huge! You can be guaranteed that no two days will be the same.

This role also requires you to have the ability to travel within the UK and overseas in order to attend conferences and industry events.
