We’re looking for an experienced Team Manager to join the Airport team within our Contact Centre. We want you to bring your brilliant coaching and management skills to drive the performance of our incredible Travel Consultants by helping the team achieve their goals and perform at their best. You will be motivating and inspiring and can expertly balance people’s individual needs with the needs of Holiday Extras and most importantly the customer.

You will be part of our growing Contact Centre Team and work collaboratively with other Team Managers to support the delivery of great service, bookings and team development. You will be comfortable delivering feedback and able to use relevant data and metrics to coach and drive the performance of your team members.

You’ll have 1st class customer service skills and have a strong level of technical understanding. As an energetic individual you will focus on driving performance whilst keeping your team engaged. As a resilient and determined individual you will be able to cope with pressure and adapt to changing situations quickly. You can be guaranteed that no two days will be the same.

Airparks People Team Business Partner

We’re looking for experienced HR Business Partner to join us on the Holiday Extras campus and become part of our Airparks People team. The workload is fast-paced, but the atmosphere is fun. Working for the Holiday Extras group, you’ll be supporting two very distinct businesses – Airparks and the Holiday Extras distribution business. Both companies are passionate about customer service and continue to strive to exceed our customer’s expectations – this is what we want from you too!

 

We are not your traditional HR team; our mission (and yours if you choose to accept it) is to help make Airparks and Holiday Extras truly amazing places to work and we’re lucky enough to get to do that every day! Our approach is always to be as proactive as we can whilst solving problems in new ways, bringing fresh ideas and always looking at things from our own unique perspectives.  

 

We want our Business Partners to work closely with the leadership and management teams in order to develop a people agenda which supports the achievement of the organisation’s objectives. Design and deliver tailored people activity, always ensuring that people considerations are always front-of-mind.

 

As your client group is spread across multiple sites in Birmingham and Luton, you’ll be an expert in building strong relationships remotely as well as happy to travel very regularly to the sites.   

 

Role Responsibilities:

  • Leading activity with and for the People Team in delivering people and HR related initiatives and projects, both strategic and operational
  • Line management responsibility and development of the Airparks People Team, currently a team of two
  • Provide significant and senior level advice and guidance on employment law, in line with Company policies and processes  
  • Lead, manage and continually evolve large strategic projects around workforce management, Talent Acquisition, Engagement and Employer Brand
  • Systematic and periodic reporting and metrics ensuring key stakeholders are kept up to date with the current state of play
  • Evolve the value add of the People Team by implementing new ideas and providing research for new or improved policies, processes and initiatives
  • Lead and manage restructures and complex ER cases where necessary with little to minimal support

 

Role Requirements: Essential

You are:

  • A senior HR business partner or part of a senior management team with high levels of experience at working autonomously or in a team
  • You are interested in supporting a broad range of business activities within a generalist field working with senior management teams to quickly and effectively affect necessary change
  • Significantly experienced in supporting client groups with a variety of employees at varying levels
  • Able to work alone with the ability to manage changing priorities within an 24/7 operational environment
  • Either legally qualified or are CIPD fully-qualified or equivalent levels of education
  • Significantly experienced at providing senior level guidance on complicated cases using case law experience
  • A clear communicator, able to build relationships at all organisational levels
  • A positive and driven self starter that is passionate about people and calm under pressure

Email Developer

Holiday Extras are on the lookout for an Email Developer to join our email marketing team! The Email team’s job is to communicate with every one of our over 5 million signed up customers in a relevant, entertaining and timely way. When people interact with our emails it makes us a happy team; when people click that dreaded unsubscribe link it make us sad: so it’s important that we send the right messages, at the right time.

We’re an unusual mix of techy and creative and this is what enables us to code responsive emails, write SQL, create clever dynamic marketing campaigns, and understand our databases. Not to mention, designing email templates and coming up with new marketing strategies to help boost our performance.

You’ll be designing and executing email marketing strategies to focus on opportunities that enable us to grow our email ‘opt-in’ list. Ownership is key; you’ll be managing various email campaigns with a variety of teams across the business. You might be working with other trading or marketing teams or even collaborating with the European part of the business.

We use the latest software to create engaging experiences our customers expect across multiple devices and lifecycles. We always strive to innovate in order to deliver the best experience to our customers. The Role

We are looking for an innovative Front End Developer to work in our growing web team who will be responsible for delivering robust and performant web solutions across our platform. You will have the freedom to deliver the best solution for the challenges the business puts in front of you and will be given the resources and time you need to get the job done.

You will have significant, proven capability in front end development with an in-depth knowledge of the basics (HTML, CSS and JS), modern technologies such as React, and pre processors such as PostCSS and LESS. You must also have experience in building for all devices, as our responsive projects are essential for the development of our websites.

Holiday Extras are looking for software engineers to come and use cutting edge technology to helps us revolutionise how customers (7 million and growing) travel better.

We’ve got a lot of great work to do and believe in using tried and tested tools that enable us to push the boundaries of what is possible, fast. You can expect to be working daily with Javascript, using continuous delivery tooling. If you’re updating and building in our back end we use Node.js® and if you’re jumping into our front end you’d be working with React.js and Redux.js, just to name a few technologies.

We know great Engineers can adapt to other tech quickly, so if javascript isn’t your thing right now that’s not a deal breaker as long as you want to learn! We build many of our tools in-house but also love open source so as well as taking much from the community you’ll find a lot of our codebase openly available on GitHub and how we work on our culture repo.
